The Invisible Wall

The Invisible Wall

How many times have you started something and stopped short, because you felt like you just couldn't do it anymore? Or because you feel like you weren't qualified? Or that you just don't understand the purpose of it yet? Or because you honestly felt like you kept "hitting a brick wall?"

I have. A million times in my life.

Have you ever regretted not finishing your college degree? Or going after that job position because you were afraid you just couldn't do it? Or maybe you are afraid to start trying to have kids because of what doctors "think" or "not really sure but maybe it was this" and have told you? Or stopped going to the gym after 2 weeks because you grew frustrated with your progress? Or stopped communicating with your friends because they are busy and overlooked your phone call? That is the enemy right there trying to bring disruption and division and isolation to keep you from very important life giving friendships that are vital to community
(which I will be saving for another blog)...

How will you ever know the point of break though if you didn't keep going? Maybe your friend needed encouragement that day instead?! But no, you decided to have a pity party for yourself and close your door and sulk for a week?! Take a deep breath and pick up the phone and call somebody! Don give your emotions the front seat in your life! Push past your wall of self!

Maybe it would have been that next time at the gym that you would've seen that result you were looking for? Or realized you actually are braver and stronger than you think?! Maybe if you had put in for that job at work you actually would have got it and done AMAZING at it!?
How will you ever know, unless you try!

Limitations.

We all put them on everyday like a pair of old jeans because of the FEAR of failing or the FEAR of letting go of the familiar outweighs the hard feeling of keep pressing on.

Limitations that social media and magazines (does anybody still read them?) or TV put on us that says; you're not a size zero in black heels and suit, so you can't go after that advertising job because you don't "look" the part. YOU SET THE STANDARD! YOU BE YOURSELF AND BE BEAUTIFUL AND CONFIDENT IN YOUR OWN SKIN!

LIMITATIONS.

Or you keep accepting the fact that just because your parents did it one way and your grandparents had this dysfunction, so let me put on the cloak of shame and carry a weight that was not yours to carry in the first place?! Let it go. and Live your life the way God wants you to. With No fear.

Its time to walk through the invisible wall and push past your own thinking and keep trying!

There's somebody out there who needs to know they are loved, valuable and accepted by just being themselves. God knows where you are. He knows your every movement and He will be there cheering you on and telling you, that you can do it!

So why let the invisible wall keep you in your old patterns and old ways of thinking? Who says you can't play basketball because your short? Ever heard of Muggsy Bogues from the Charlotte Hornets back in the 90's? Dude, was super fast and good! (yes, I loved me some 90's era NBA)
He didn't let his size stop him!

Don't let your limitations, intimidate you!

Push past it and see what you truly are capable of doing!

This whole invisible wall thing came about when I was driving with my husband to Asheville, and I was telling him how I was riding the bike at the gym and I get to this point when riding that I feel like I can't go on anymore, my legs start hurting and my heart is racing (don't worry I watch my HR thingy to keep me safe, lol) and then once I keep pushing/going, BAM it's I like crossover and can ride for another hour! He told me it was my "invisible wall". He's a genius ... And as soon as he said it, I knew it was my next blog. I have been through some intense and season changing stuff this past 2 months and have not been able to blog like I wanted. But life happens and so I thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope it helped you or somebody you know today!

You were created for a special purpose and don't let this world put imaginary limits on you!

You keep dreaming.

Keep believing.

and push past whatever invisible wall is standing in your way.

You can do it!

Love - Rach :)
